‘Noah’s Ark’, which has taken many years to complete, has finally opened to the public in Kentucky, USA. The Ark Encounter, the brainchild of Answers in Genesis, is 40 miles from its popular sister attraction, the Creation Museum, and aims to provide visitors with a life-scale idea of what the biblical Ark would have looked like.
It contains details showing how life inside the Ark would have been like for Noah and his family, as well as photos, information and scale models of the types of animals which would have been on the Ark.
In his blog, the president and co-founder of Answers in Genesis, Ken Ham, wrote: ‘I believe this project will be one of the greatest evangelistic outreaches of our day.
‘Millions of people, many of them unbelievers or unchurched Christians, will come to Northern Kentucky to tour this family-friendly, Christian attraction, where they will learn about Noah, his family, the animals, the Ark, the Flood, and most importantly, the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are excited to see how God uses this project to make an impact for eternity’.
He said thousands of people arrived on the opening day in July, and ‘we heard one common exclamation: “It’s so huge!”
‘And as people headed into the Ark, the amazement continued, as guests enjoyed the world-class exhibits on the Ark’s three decks’. (See https://arkencounter.com).
