The Partick Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) (FCC) congregation is delighted to announce that, from Wednesday 1 June, the congregation is worshipping in new premises.
After a time of discussion, reflection and prayer, the congregation reached a formal agreement with the kirk session of Partick United Free Church of Scotland (UF) to share their spacious and well appointed premises (at 2-4 Thornwood Terrace, G11 7QZ).
Partick FCC’s minister, Rev. Andrew R. Allan, said: ‘We are delighted to enter into this agreement with the Partick UF congregation. We would like to thank their interim moderator, Rev. Douglas Campbell, and the kirk session for the Christian manner in which all our discussions have been conducted. We hope this arrangement will prove to be mutually beneficial to both congregations’.
Mr Allan went on to say, ‘We are actively involved in outreach and we hope and pray that having the use of other premises will help us in our mission’. He added, ‘We pay tribute to Pastor Robert White and the congregation of the Church of the Nazarene, whose premises we have been sharing since January 2013. We have enjoyed an excellent relationship with them’.
The times of the regular services will not change, from 1:00pm and 6:30pm on the Lord’s Day and 7:30pm on Wednesday.
