On 7 March, Nick Fuller was inducted to the pastorate of Truro Evangelical Church, Cornwall. This marked a new chapter in the life of the church, which was originally planted in 1998. It meets in Tregolls Academy School, and the hall was packed on this occasion.
It was encouraging that many from evangelical churches around Cornwall and gospel preaching churches within Truro were able to attend. John Rosser, founding pastor of Truro Evangelical Church, led the service, with prayers from Peter Ninnis who was Mr Fuller’s predecessor. John Harris preached from Romans 1, urging Nick Fuller to be faithful to his gospel calling. Mr Harris had been previous pastor at Nick’s former pastorate in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. Nick served at Mirfield for eight years, but knew God’s clear calling to Truro last October.
Nick has family roots in Truro and grew up there. Truro is a rapidly expanding city and the bustling hub of Cornwall. There are many potential evangelistic opportunities, so please do pray for Nick, his wife Sarah, and the small congregation (who also now have a new elder, Geraint Richards), as they seek to serve Christ and see his kingdom grow in Cornwall.
