Plans are in place to expand the work of the John Owen Centre, part of the London Theological Seminary (LTS). A biblical studies scholar is to be recruited to work alongside Dr Garry Williams, the director of the centre.
The creation of this additional post will enable the running and supervision of individual and group programmes, study days and other events focused specifically on biblical studies. The post will also strengthen the LTS’ lecturing team.
The John Owen Centre plans to provide help to churches in the UK representing different ethnic and language groups. It will be funding short-term projects with leaders of churches, to encourage them in theological and biblical study and its application.
These developments are being funded thanks to a generous legacy. The legacy will additionally be used for projects to improve the online, computer and networking resources at LTS, as well as providing extra accommodation for residential students and their families.
