Reports have claimed that male university students in North Korea have been instructed to get the same haircut as their leader Kim Jong-un.

According to Radio Free Asia, the state-sanctioned sartorial guideline was introduced in the capital Pyongyang earlier this year and is being rolled out across the country.

For the past few years, the North Korean state has issued guidelines on hairstyles for men and women, with women being required to choose from just 18 approved styles, all of them short. It is claimed that long hair does not fit with the socialist lifestyle in the communist state.
