Thirty pieces

April 2014

Christians have been challenged to tackle corruption, in all its forms, as part of their preparation for Easter.

In booklet called Thirty pieces of silver, written by theologian Dr Paula Gooder for the Bible Society, Christians have been asked to look afresh at Lenten events in relation to ending corruption.

Ms Gooder, theologian-in-residence for the Society, said her pamphlet’s title had been inspired by the money given to Judas to betray Jesus. The pamphlet supports the coalition campaign, Exposed, which seeks to put an end to corruption in business, government and the global church.
