Church planting

March 2014

Grace Baptist Partnership Scotland has been distributing leaflets and hosting evangelical efforts in Edinburgh and Perth, Pastor Ali McLachlan has said.

In his latest newsletter, Mr McLachlan said several calls and texts had been received as a result of the Edinburgh literature distribution, while a good number attended an evangelistic evening, in Perth, with evangelist Tony Miano.

However, he said there was still a great need to reach out in Scotland. He wrote: ‘In the hour’s drive between Glasgow and Edinburgh there are at least 20 towns, some with populations as high as 60,000, that stand in need of a robust, biblical church to be planted.

‘Some established communities have churches that have long departed from truth and need miraculous revival. Others are newer dormitory towns, filled with Central Belt commuters, and have little social hub’.
