On 17 November 2013, Providence Baptist Church, Clifton, in Bedfordshire, celebrated the church’s 100th anniversary.
A special service was held at the Clifton community centre to mark the occasion. The service was led by Ken Houghton, and Nick Angell interviewed some current members of the congregation.
The church was founded by Mr D. H. Hale and many of his family members attended the service, including his grandson, who spoke about the early days of the church in Clifton and D. H. Hale’s life.
Dr Ray Evans of Kempston preached on Ephesians 6:10-20. The celebration was enjoyed by young and old, as we reflected on God’s provision and grace over the years.
The church meets every Sunday at 10.30am, and 6.00pm each week at 118 Shefford Road, Clifton.
