The Government’s plans to reduce the number of international students in the UK could cost higher education centres up to £8bn, figures have shown.
    Estimates of the financial loss to higher education runs between £4bn-£8bn, according to ‘Universities UK’, and this does not take into account everything else that international students bring to the economy.
    Already Christian colleges have found the Government’s tougher line on overseas students unhelpful for training young men called to the Christian ministry.
    According to investment house London Central Portfolio, the Government’s plans to reduce the number of global students could have a significant impact on economic growth.
