LCM thanksgiving

Around 500 people attended London City Mission’s thanksgiving service on 27 September. The congregation gathered at All Souls, Langham Place, to celebrate all that God has been doing in London over the last year.
The service included interviews with four LCM outreach workers. John Hamilton, who carried the Olympic torch through Dagenham, spoke about the opportunities this gave him to share his faith. Naomi Dibden and Jackie Davis shared stories from their work at LCM’s cafe in Covent Garden and homeless centre, respectively.
Imtiaz Khan told how his work in Ilford was helping Christians and Muslims to understand each other. Rev. Simon Downham, of St Paul’s Church, Hammersmith, gave the evening’s sermon from Acts 8.
John Hamilton said: ‘I had a great time in sharing my faith and I prayed for many people. I also gave out copies of a Christian tract to those that were interested’.
