Confidence

The Evangelical Alliance (EA) has launched a national initiative to help develop confidence in the gospel and it is looking for 12 UK churches to be ‘lead learners’.
Krish Kandiah, executive director of churches in mission, for the EA, said this initiative, ‘Confidence in the gospel’, would help ‘find effective ways to help Christians articulate the gospel in words and deeds in our contemporary culture’.
Writing in the EA magazine, Idea, Mr Kandiah said, ‘Churches have to develop and nurture a gospel confidence where effective evangelism is the norm for all believers’.
In order to bring about this culture change, EA has partnered with Lead Academy to develop what it claims is an ‘exciting programme’ to help bring about systemic change in the UK church.
The programme will take 12 Bible-believing churches from across the UK, regardless of congregation size or denominational background, to equip them for the ‘next stage’ of their ministry.
Mr Kandiah added: ‘As we hear stories of effective evangelism and establish key ingredients for success, then we will be passing on our good news so we can all learn’  (www.eauk.org/confidence).
