Eucharistic Congress

Two debates have been scheduled for the end of May, to coincide with the 50th World Eucharistic Congress in Dublin in June, when there will be added focus on the Eucharist and associated doctrines.
The planned debates between Catholic priest Patrick McCafferty and Evangelical Christian Rob Zins from North Carolina will explore differing views held on two of the major themes of the Eucharist — transubstantiation and propitiation.
Historically, there have always been differing theological viewpoints on these between Roman Catholicism and classic evangelical Christianity. The debates will be in Dundalk Baptist Church (23 May) and Knockbreda Parish, Belfast (26 May).
