 Finding out

Some months after the work of Girl Crusaders’ Union (GCU) finished officially, the GCU headquarters at31 Catherine Place, Westminster, has been sold for £2.5m.

The money is being divided between several evangelistic endeavours, with a focus on reaching young people. The buyer is Delfina Foundation, a secular art foundation based next door to 31 Catherine Place.

A GCU newsletter reveals that some Foundation leaders have been asking former staff, ‘What has GCU done for the past 95 years?’ The answer has involved meeting Roger Carswell, as well as GCU president Dr Helen Roseveare.

A copy of the BBC documentary about Dr Helen, Mama Luka comes home, has been given to the purchasers.
