Graham cold-shouldered

Evangelist Franklin Graham, son of Rev. Billy Graham, had his request to pray in the Pentagon turned down because of remarks he had made about other religions.

Mr Graham had been invited into the Defence Department for national prayer day but, according to the Washington Times, this was withdrawn after an interview in which he talked about the truth of Christianity.

In a Newsweek article, he was quoted as saying, ‘I don’t believe that you can get to heaven through being a Buddhist or Hindu. I think Muhammad only leads to the grave. Now, that’s what I believe, and I don’t apologise for my faith’.

The Obama administration removed his right to join the prayer service because of these comments.
