Fifty years of Feba
Feba Radio has celebrated its 50th anniversary by announcing a new approach to its mission process.
It will work together with other Christians to develop locally produced programming, engaging with similar organisations to reach a wider range of people with the gospel.
Feba already broadcasts to Africa, South and Central Asia and the Middle East, but through these strategic partnerships with Christian groups ‘on the ground’ it hopes that the harder-to-reach people will be able to hear the word.
Jonathan Frank, chief executive of Feba UK, said: ‘I am excited to be refocusing on what we have done excellently for a number of years now: bringing innovation and vision to situations where “traditional” Christian radio simply doesn’t fit’.
The organisation has also handed over its English-language learning programmes, Spotlight, to other partners so that Feba can focus on its core purpose, which it said was ‘serving and bringing hope to communities that have been hard to reach with the good news of Jesus Christ’.
