Scottish Reformed Conference

This year’s highly successful Scottish Reformed Conference saw about 300 adults and children gather together at Hamilton for what proved to be a deeply inspiring and challenging day.

The speakers were Dr Joel Beeke from the USA and Dr Ian D. Campbell from Lewis. The addresses, which were searching and encouraging, are freely available on the SRC web site.

What was particularly encouraging to the conference committee was the span of ages and denominational backgrounds represented by those attending. This annual event is a growing opportunity for good teaching, warm fellowship and – thanks to the Banner of Truth – great literature.

Comments from newcomers included, ‘Soul warming sermons’, ‘Great to see so many young people sitting under solid preaching’, and rather disconcertingly, ‘How come this is the first time I’ve heard of this conference? – I’ve missed 19 years of great preaching’.

In order not to miss the 20th annual conference, do put 9 May 2009 in your diaries, when Dr Sinclair Ferguson and Rev. Eric Alexander will be the speakers – and all this for the cost of a fast food burger…!
