Twentieth anniversary of Pilgrim Tabernacle
The preacher on this happy occasion was Vernon Higham (Cardiff), who took as his text Romans 12:1: ‘I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service’.
Mr Higham gave a public call and exhortation for service and commitment from Christians. This is, in every way, their ‘reasonable’ duty to the God who created and saved them.
Pilgrim Tabernacle is a pioneering church work in Wood Green, North London. It is firmly committed to the doctrines of sovereign grace, with a strong evangelistic emphasis. The congregation is comprised of people from many different ethnic backgrounds and includes several converted Muslims, two of whom are from Iran.
