The 75th anniversary of the New Tribes Mission (NTM) was celebrated with a special time of celebration and remembrance of its five missionary martyrs, who lost their lives in NTM’s first endeavour, attempting to contact the Ayorés in Bolivia in 1943.
The social committee came up with the idea of a 1940s style British tea party, which according to its latest newsletter, the event was a wonderful time of fellowship. At the event, the NTM UK team and the North Cotes College staff, volunteers and students came together to see how NTM was founded.
The newsletter said, ‘It is humbling to see how NTM has grown from the sacrifice of our first five missionaries. There are now more than 1,200 New Testament churches planted among some of the world’s most remote people groups.
‘We took time to pray for the ongoing work the Lord is doing through his people serving throughout the world, and praised him for his unwavering faithfulness over the past 75 years’.
