Members of the general public are not permitted ‘behind the wire’ at military establishments, but the uniformed members of the Soldiers’ and Airmen’s Scripture Readers Association (SASRA) have formal access to the men and women of the British Army and the Royal Air Force on their bases.
SASRA’s mission is now in its 180th year. Its 16 full and part-time Scripture Readers face a joint Army and RAF strength of 110,000 personnel. SASRA urgently needs more Scripture Readers and the prayers of God’s people.
Between 8 August and 11 November SASRA is running a prayer event called 100 days. SASRA will equip a church meeting and supply a Remembrance Day Pack, if required. To book a prayer date and find out more, visit www.sasra.org.uk or call HQ on 03000 30 1918.
