I was born into a Christian home in Brunei. As a child my parents taught me about the Lord Jesus Christ from the Bible. My father is a preacher in our home church and my mother translates the sermons into Mandarin.

However, it was not until I was 13 that I realised that I personally was a sinner and needed to believe for myself in Christ. I then accepted him as my Saviour and I experienced the joy and peace that he brings. When I was 16, I was baptised as a believer.

In 2014 I left Brunei to study at the University of Sheffield in England. Since being in Sheffield my faith in and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ has deepened. Professor Derek Linkens invited me to Grace Reformed Fellowship, where I enjoyed good sound Bible teaching.

Also, I have attended the youth fellowship at Sheffield Chinese Christian Church and have worked in their Sunday school. When Grace Reformed Fellowship closed in July 2016 I came with Derek Linkens and others to attend Owlerton Evangelical Church, which also has sound Bible teaching. I have found the preaching here to be real and relevant to my daily walk as a believer. The fellowship in the church is loving and caring and I soon settled in this spiritual home.

Let me share some words with you that have especially blessed me, from Philippians chapter 4 and verse 9: ‘My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus’.
