Police in Finland have launched two further investigations against a Christian member of the Finnish parliament who criticised her church denomination’s support for an LGBT event.
Päivi Räsänen, a former government minister, now faces a total of four separate police investigations over her biblical view of sexuality.
Last year, the long-serving MP shared Romans 1:24-27 online, and added: ‘How can the church’s doctrinal foundation, the Bible, be compatible with the lifting up of shame and sin as a subject of pride?’
She is being supported by religious liberty group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) International. Paul Coleman, Executive Director of ADF International, said: ‘In a free society, everyone should be allowed to share their beliefs without fear of censorship.’
