Matthew Pickhaver was born in Nottinghamshire but grew up in Norfolk and Suffolk and was converted to Christ at an early age. He went on to study zoology at University College London and education at the University of East Anglia before teaching in a state primary school for 12 years. More recently he has been supported as an evangelist, engaging in door-to-door, open air and youth work. He is also an associate lecturer with Biblical Creation Trust and an associate worker with Open Air Mission. He is married to Carolyn and lives in north Norfolk where they are members of Cromer Baptist Church.

The Christmas holiday club, held on Saturday 20 December from 1.00-4.00pm at Antingham Gospel Hall, on the Heartsease Estate, Norwich, was an answer to prayer.
