Christians in Myanmar need urgent help as they face the triple threat of the Myanmar military, serious hunger, and Covid-19.
According to Barnabas Fund partners on the ground, the Tatmadaw (the Myanmar military) is repeatedly launching attacks against the civilians of Christian-majority ethnic groups such as the Chin, Kachin, and Karen.
Many church buildings have been bombed while sheltering mainly women and children. Even some official Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps have been shelled.
Meanwhile, the pandemic is ripping through the country. At least 60 pastors have died in the Chin region during Myanmar’s third wave of Covid, most of them in June and early July.
