Cromer Christian Convention

The fourth Cromer Christian Convention was held over the Spring bank holiday weekend at Cromer Baptist Church. What a privilege and joy it was!
Readers will probably be aware that our church is still coming to terms with the recent home-call of its pastor, but Andrew Davis and Daniel Webber strengthened and encouraged us through the Word of God.
Their preaching reminded us that although bad things happen to God’s people, he works out his purposes in life’s various circumstances. Grief drives us back to God, and makes us more useful to others and more like our Saviour. We must never be afraid to ask God questions, but must learn to trust and obey him.
We heard an excellent lecture from Daniel Webber on ‘William Carey and the missionary vision’, and mention must be made of the prayer meeting. Only a few were able to attend, but how blessed we felt, as we met with our Saviour in our midst.
