Welsh Assembly chooses life

At the end of last year, the Welsh Assembly rejected Lord Falconer’s Assisted Dying Bill, by 21 votes to 12, with 20 abstentions. 

According to reports, members of the assembly not only rejected the controversial bill, which would pave the way for mercy killing, but even the basic principles of the Bill. 

As the legislature of one of the two nations (England and Wales) to which Lord Falconer’s Bill applies, the decision of the Welsh Assembly to reject it is of huge political significance, Christian charity CARE has said.
