K4K report

I had the privilege of being on the kids’ team during week three of the Keswick Convention. This was an ideal opportunity to be able to work for the Lord with younger children.

In my opinion, the week was a success, not only due to the attendance of kids (very important!), but that 20 of the children, that we know of, told fellow team members that they had made a commitment to the Lord!

Sharing the gospel with children is such an important work and, reflecting on my week, I am blown away by how important the work is. Not only this, but the opportunity to be on the team is a blessing, as you meet so many other people who are all there for the same reason as you.

It is the same with whatever organisation, beach team or club, where you preach the gospel. What could be better?

From doing games to leading discussions, all parts of the programme were vital for the children to be able to look up to the team as role models; and someone there to talk to if they had any questions or wanted to talk.

Overall, week three (along with the previous two weeks) was very influential in the children’s life, but also in mine. It was a honour to be able to work for the Keswick Convention 2010 – and hopefully will be for many years to come.
