Eusebius of Caesarea

Eusebius Pamphili, bishop of Caesarea Maritima from 314, was an early church historian, polemicist, biblical scholar, and biographer of Constantine the Great, the first Christian emperor in whose court he was a favourite. Eusebius wrote prolifically and is an important source for much early church history. He died between 339 and 340 AD.
