Meeting Robert Moffat

1840

In 1840 while considering where he would spend his missionary energies, Livingstone met Robert Moffat, a missionary to South Africa with the London Missionary Society. Moffat convinced Livingstone of the need to expand Christian missions northward into unreached parts of the African continent.
