Australia: Government urged to tackle porn amid abuse review

The Australian government’s review into sexual consent laws will be ineffective unless it also tackles porn addictions among young people.

This was one of the comments made by Jess Hill, a journalist specialising in helping victims of domestic abuse, at a committee hearing.

Speaking to Australia’s legal and constitutional affairs references committee, Hill said, ‘It is hard to overstate just how damaging that is as a cultural education, particularly for young boys and men.’
