Teachers in the UK are having a difficult time navigating the different ideological viewpoints, but for Christian teachers the outcome can be ‘chilling’, a senior legal professional has warned.

Andrea Williams, founder and chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre and Christian Concern, warned that the effect of several high-profile cases against Christian teachers recently cannot be underestimated.

Teachers in the UK are having a difficult time navigating the different ideological viewpoints, but for Christian teachers the outcome can be ‘chilling’, a senior legal professional has warned.

She said, ‘The teaching profession is no longer an easy place to navigate for Christian teachers. Expressing long held Christian beliefs on marriage and gender can get you suspended, investigated and barred.’
