Created to praise

Star rating : 4
This short devotional book contains eight chapters and feels like it began life as a short series of topical sermons. The text is broken up into short easily read sections and this would lend itself well to being used to prepare for personal or gathered times for worship.
The book deals with the subject in a warm and balanced way, avoiding some of extremes of the modern worship debate.
Among the topics the book covers are praise in song, praise in prayer, praise in trials and praise in death. Preachers would find this book useful in preparing a thematic series of sermons on worship, whilst others will find it helpful in preparing their hearts for times of prayer or worship.
Derek Prime is an excellent communicator and illustrates his teaching helpfully.
