Finland: Päivi Räsänen will defend free speech all the way to the European Court if necessary

Christian politician Dr Päivi Räsänen has said she is ready to ‘defend freedom of speech and religion as far as the European Court of Human Rights’. 

Beginning in 2019, the politician has faced criminal prosecution for statements she had made upholding biblical truths on marriage and sexuality.

Despite successfully defending herself in two previous court hearings, prosecutors are still hounding her by appealing her case to the Finnish Supreme Court.
