A Christian mother who claims a school forced her 4-year-old child to take part in a gay pride event has had her case heard in court.

Izzy Montague, 38, said she was told by the headteacher of Heavers Farm Primary School in South Norwood, southeast London, that her son could not opt out of the event in June 2018.

Montague raised concerns, but she was banned from the school because the headteacher, Susan Papas, said staff ‘did not feel safe around her’.

Andrea Williams, CEO of the Christian Legal Centre, said, ‘This case epitomises the chaos we can expect to see in the coming years in our schools and is another example of the “totalitolerance” that has become so prevalent in our society.
