MPs hold public consultation on assisted suicide and euthanasia

A committee of MPs in the House of Commons held a consultation last month on the laws on assisted suicide and euthanasia in England and Wales.

It is currently illegal in England and Wales to help anyone end their life, or for healthcare professionals to administer lethal drugs.

But the House of Commons Health and Social Care Committee has launched an inquiry, asking members of the public to share their views before the deadline of 20 January.
