Albanian conference

In March, for the third time, we joined Grace Church in Tirana for a joint Fjala and Shepherd’s Conference. ‘Fjala’ means ‘the Word’ in Albanian. Joining Stuart Olyott from the UK were two speakers from the USA – Scott Ardavanis, who gave three expositions of 1 Thessalonians 1, and Richard Hamlet.

Stuart spoke three times on ‘Revival and you’. This included a masterful sermon on the ‘Filling of the Spirit’. He was also asked to take a seminar on 1 Corinthians 13 and excelled in his exegesis of this vital passage. On the Sunday he preached twice at the Gjirokaster church.

We meet with our friends in Tirana every other year and next year the conference will be in Gjirokaster when Will Niven will be the speaker. The aim of Fjala is to promote the doctrines of grace and expository preaching among Albanians.

We were encouraged that over 70 booked in for this year’s conference and we value your prayers for Fjala’s future usefulness.
