Daylight Christian Prison Ministries

Daylight Christian Prison Ministries has appointed Dr John Scott as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Since 2002, John and his wife Elizabeth have served in the ministry at Chelmsford Presbyterian Church. Prior to this, he was at Netley, Southampton, and has been a minister in England since 1995.

John, who will start in November, has been involved with Daylight for eight years in various capacities, first meeting Gerard Chrispin of the then Day One Prison Ministries in 2001.

Dr Scott said: ‘A great opportunity is presented to the churches to work inside and outside the prisons, preaching the gospel and teaching new believers in Christ.

‘I share the initial goal of this ministry, to see the gospel brought to prisoners in each prison in the UK. We also look forward to working with local churches to help them support and follow up the new believers who have found Christ in prison’.
