Southampton

Saturday 2 October was a day of great rejoicing for members and friends at Netley Christian Fellowship, in Southampton, at the induction service for Paul Oliver as their new pastor.

Around 170 people attended the service at Abbey Hall, Netley. Dr John Hall spoke from Joshua chapter 1, emphasising that we should be strong and courageous because the Lord God will be with us.

A great time of fellowship and tea followed the service. Mr Oliver was previously pastor at Bradford-on-Avon Baptist Church. The church in Netley wishes the church in Bradford-on-Avon well, and are praying for it as they seek Mr Oliver’s replacement.

Mr Oliver, his wife Naomi and their five children, plus Eddie the puppy, have settled into their new home in Netley; and he looks forward to the challenge of his new pastorate.
