WEST

Students and lecturers, friends and supporters, from all over the UK and beyond, gathered in Bridgend on Saturday 20 September at WEST (Wales Evangelical School of Theology) to give thanks to God and commit to him the work of the college in the coming academic year.

We enjoyed a time of great encouragement as Rev. Jonathan Stephen, Principal of WEST, outlined many college developments over the previous months. Most notable were the rise in the numbers of students at all levels and popularity of the newly launched ‘Binary Course’.

We heard of exciting plans to explore new gospel partnerships overseas, and were introduced to the year’s new students. Richard Myerscough, a former student of WEST and now pastor of Pontefract Evangelical Church, preached on the need for and the source of genuine spiritual formation in Christ.
