The gospel is reaching the lost in Afghanistan despite fierce persecution, according to a Barnabas Aid contact in the country.

'So far this year more than 50 people have been baptised in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,' said Pastor 'Ali', a church leader working in great secrecy.

'Remarkably, every one of them is under 30 years old,' he added. 'This rising generation is desperate for truth, for hope, for a God who is living and real.'
