The appeal hearing in the case of a retired church pastor who preached a sermon on John 3:16 within an abortion buffer zone in Northern Ireland has been set for 15 October.
The case centres on whether pastor Clive Johnston’s open air gospel message breached the law, given that he never mentioned the issue of abortion.
In May this year, he was found guilty by a court in Coleraine and fined £450 for breaching the provisions of the buffer zone, and also of failing to comply with a police direction to leave the area.
