A court in Sydney, Australia, will decide what constitutes a woman in a gender identity case dubbed ‘Tickle v Giggle’.

It centres on a biological man who now identifies as a woman and calls himself Roxanne Tickle.

He is trying to insist that he should be allowed to become a member of an online female-only social media platform called Giggle for Girls.

The founder of Giggle for Girls, Sall Grover, says she does not believe it is right to force women to call a man a woman.

This is a landmark case in Australia because it is the first time that gender identity discrimination laws have been tested in the Australian federal court.
