Tory leader Kemi Badenoch says the ‘state-sponsored witch hunt’ against Christian nurses who disagree with transgenderism must end.
Badenoch denounced the continued investigations into NHS staff who, she said, had merely affirmed ‘the basic truth of biological sex’.
She made the comments after meeting with Christian nurse Jennifer Melle and a group of Darlington nurses who have all faced a backlash because of their beliefs about sex and gender.
Jennifer Melle has been reported to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as an alleged ‘risk to the public’ for declining to use the preferred gender identity of a paedophile patient.
