Bible beginners

The Mayflower Christian Bookshop is producing more Bible Treasure booklets — after an encouraging response to its first set of daily reading notes for beginners.
Bible Treasure is aimed at older children, teenagers and adults who have little knowledge of God’s Word. Using an easy-to-read style that’s faithful to Scripture, the notes encourage them to read the Bible every day.
The Southampton-based bookshop is now publishing its second set of four books in the series, following encouraging feedback and steady demand for the notes.
Frances Fountain, spokesperson for the bookshop, said, ‘Christian families with children from ages 10 to 14 have responded straight away, wanting more.
‘We’ve also had church youth club leaders wanting copies as take-home material for their youngsters. Adults are also finding them useful, as many grown-ups know so little today’.
Chloe, a Chinese student studying in the UK, told the bookshop, ‘I find it easier to understand the Bible. Reading the notes inspires my life. I will not stop until I know Jesus as my Saviour’.
Another adult, Anne, who had little Bible knowledge, expressed her thanks and said, ‘The notes have helped me to understand more of what the Bible is saying’. Free samples can be downloaded at www.bible-treasure.org.uk
