The churches of the Association of Confessional Baptist Churches met at Stanley Park Church, Liverpool, for the winter Association meeting.
Dr Robert Strivens opened the day with a substantial and warmly received exposition of chapter seven of the Second London Baptist Confession. He reminded the churches that 'covenant' is a foundational yet often neglected biblical theme.
Beginning with God's gracious condescension in entering a covenant with humanity in Adam, he traced the covenant of grace from its promise in Genesis 3 to its fulfilment in Christ.
