'The need and necessity of revival' was the theme of the Christian Heritage Centre's autumn lecture, held last November and delivered by Revd Roland Burrows. He observed that throughout history there is a recurring pattern of spiritual progress followed by stagnation, a pattern also seen repeatedly in the biblical narrative.
Drawing on quotations from notable Christian leaders, Burrows explained that certain signs often appear before revival: declining church attendance, few conversions, and a general disregard for the things of God.
