Proposed new laws which seek to criminalise so-called ‘conversion practices’ have been greatly delayed.

There is speculation that the government may be realising just how problematic it is to legislate in this area.

Banning ‘conversion practices’ could interfere with religious freedom and may even criminalise parents who try to stop their child receiving transgender treatment.
