A US government commission has warned that restrictions on religious expression in Western democracies should serve as a warning about the importance of protecting freedom of religion and speech.
The Presidential Religious Liberty Commission, established by President Donald Trump in May 2025, submitted its draft report to the President in June.
The report followed seven public hearings and testimony from more than 100 witnesses representing different religious backgrounds and areas of expertise.
