The Football Association (FA) has written to Premier League player Cody Gakpo, reprimanding him for wearing a vest with the words ‘I belong to Jesus’.

The Liverpool FC footballer revealed the slogan on his vest after scoring for Liverpool in their 5-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur in April.

But the FA wrote to him, reminding him that there is a ban on religious slogans on items of clothing, boots, and equipment, but says no further action will be taken.
