Finnish parliamentarian and grandmother Päivi Räsänen has said she is considering appealing to the European Court of Human Rights after she was found guilty of hate speech over a 20-year-old church pamphlet.
After a lengthy legal process, which began in 2019 after Päivi Räsänen tweeted in defence of biblical principles on sexuality and marriage, Räsänen was acquitted over her tweet but found guilty, together with Bishop Juhana Pohjola, over a 20-year-old church pamphlet on biblical marriage.
