The Finnish Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling on the case against former MP Päivi Räsänen, potentially marking a historic moment for freedom of speech and religion in Europe.
Following the hearing in October, Dr Päivi Räsänen and Bishop Juhana Pohjola said they stood not only to defend their own right to speak freely but also to defend the freedom of everyone to express their beliefs.
